Based in Stretford, Pup Central is a Manchester dog grooming and home boarding business built around one simple idea: every dog deserves to feel completely at ease in someone else's care. Claire combines proper technical skill with a calm, patient approach, taking the time to get to know every dog she works with rather than rushing them through. Whether it's a full groom, day-to-day feeding and care, or a home-from-home boarding stay, dogs are treated as individuals, with routines, quirks and comfort all taken seriously. It's dog care that feels less like a service and more like leaving your best friend with a friend.

Gentle, careful nail clipping and paw pad tidy-up, done at your dog's pace.
De-shedding treatments
A deep-conditioning wash and blow-out to cut down on loose fur and shedding around the house.
Ear cleaning & hygiene trims

1-2-1, unrushed appointments

Claire
I've had various breeds of dogs as pets over the years and loved the different personalities and preferences each individual has had.
Having started breeding with my stud, Buddy, I quickly evolved from being a stud owner to fertility service provider, which inevitably led to breeding then grooming and eventually boarding.
Pup Central is exactly what the name suggests - a dog centred home where all needs are catered for with love - which is what I believe every dog deserves.
I love working with the dogs, but also meeting the owners and being able to offer sound advice and help where it is needed and wanted.
Seeing the team here grow with like minded people makes me proud of what we are achieving 💜

Growing up with my own golden retriever and more recently, years of owning and caring for multiple dogs, Claire and I have a broad appreciation of what gives them pleasure and represents a safe and stimulating environment.
As long-standing dog-lovers, we aim to give the dogs no less than their owners are giving them all year round; quality care as a matter of course. In addition to expanding on what was working for our dogs and those of our friends, we have learned from the best as we seek to provide the best, and are accredited in the relevant skills-sets, giving our customers the confidence to leave their loved-ones in our care.

I love animals and always wanted to work with animals. I studied Animal Care Level 1 and Level 2, and I have owned rescue dogs. My current dog is named Ollie. I am now studying for my Level 3 Dog Grooming certification.
I am surrounded by so many dogs of different breeds and personalities, every dog has a quirk at Pup Central and everyone here embraces dogs to be happy, whether that's lounging on the sofa for cuddles or being ball crazy! Working at Pup Central is working at a place filled with love and waggy tails!

I have always had a passion for animals, I have my own dog at home and have been surrounded by dogs growing up. I would love to be a veterinary nurse in the future, and my dog grooming qualification has given me a lot of knowledge which I hope should help within the industry.
I love working at Pup Central because of the people, everyone shares the same genuine love of dogs. I have met so many dogs each with distinctive and fun personalities. I have been lucky to work here and gain such unique experiences because of all the different services offered here!
